Abstract
In thi paper I deal with socialist urbanization using the example of building of an exemplary socialist town Žďár nad Sázavou. I present how urbanization was theorised by authors who were members of socialist socierz.
Then by means of analysing historical documents I outline the testimonies of witnesses of the process of urbanization in Žďár nad Sázavou. This leads me to the redevelopment of the main sqauere of the town which I understand as the climax of the urbanizing process.
