Abstract

On 9 July 2010, two dead and three living juveniles of the garden dormouse (Eliomys quercinus) were found in the Vlčí jámy Natural Monument (Krušné hory Mts., Karlovy Vary Dist., Czech Republic). Later on, on 10 August 2010 a live-trapping session was conducted at the same locality, which provided three garden dormice (one adult, two juveniles).

Having summarized all older garden dormouse records from the Krušné hory Mts., we can state that we unequivocally confirmed the presence of the species after 35 years.
