Publication at Faculty of Science |

The High Tatra region is in Central Europe one of the environments where average annual temperature is close to 0°C, so there are still ongoing intensive periglacial processes. This environment is located at an altitude above 1500m a.s.l., above the upper limit of the forest.

Since 50´s of the 20th century both fossil and recent landforms were observed. Not always in the case of already described landforms are these observed at the localities on the present, the majority of existing literature was written 40 years ago and also more.

With the scope to revise spatial distribution, exact localization, to determine their dependences of spatial dislocation and distinction of their activity morphologic and morphometric datas are collected to be analyzed by GIS.
