Abstract

During the period 1961-2001, the Czech republic registered a population increase of 660 000 inhabitants, but according to 1991 and 2001 censuses results lost more than 72 000 inhabitants. Regional differences in population distribution was incurred above all migration population in the 50's and 60's.

In the nineties trends in population distribution changed significantly.
