Abstract
The article deals with a right interpretation of the so called malediction passages in the book of Psalms. After a short explanation of the concept of malediction as such (in the context of Israel in the Old Testament times) some important premises for the understanding are presented as well as two proposals of interpretation in the Christian (patristic) tradition and at the present time.
