Psalter between Darkness and Light. Contrast and Passage, Reality and Symbol

Abstract

The article deals with those levels of sense to which various concepts expressing light shadows and darkness in psalms are projected. It tries to grasp something of the inner logic that is deeply inscribed into the general structure of the Psalter as well as into the singular psalms; this logic represents a kind of spiritual order which provides a reliable orientation for both joyful and painful moments of human life.
