Abstract
The article briefly sums up the most important characteristics of the Old Testament wisdom, i.e. the concept itself, the main types and milieu where the wisdom was developed, the basic literary genres in which it was expressed, the concerning themes and finally also the Old Testament books having mostly wisdom character.
