Abstract
The poem 'I know well the source' of St. John of the Cross gives witness to a highly original mystical experience of the Eucharist, which came to the saint during his imprisonment in Toledo (1577-1578).
The mystical teacher here regards the Eucharist above all as a relevation of the love of God the Father for us.
