Abstract
When our heart accuses us, God is greater than our heart and knows everything' (3,20) - God is greater in his mercy and forgiving love, or in his more severe judgement? The author shows that another way is to prefer: God is greater than our heart in his knowledge. He knows not only the accuses and sins of the heart, but also its good attitude towards the needy, as presupposed in the verses 3,18-19
