2010

Abstract

The book deals with the activities of four Czech mathematicians Theodor Monin, František Splítek, Vladislav Šak and Antonín Václav Šourek at the secondary schools in Bulgaria and the University of Sofia after 1878 when the Bulgarians liberated themselves from the Ottoman Empire and the independent Principality of Bulgaria was established. The Czech teachers educated many followers and contributed to the development of Bulgarian mathematics in significant way.
