How do various physical activities affect the mortality?

Abstract

Swimming is an ideal physical activity for seniors. You will probably find fewer or none hockey, rugby or basketball players, track and field athletes, wrestlers or kick boxers, participating in their old age actively and competitively in these disciplines.

On the contrary the swimmers make an exception from this rule –in their old age many of them train and compete intensively. Physical activities in the water may not suit everyone and pleasant feelings in the water are not shared universally.

They are bound primarily to the swimming literacy. The more competent is an individual in the water, the more diverse and effective movement program in the water he can use.
