Abstract
The book discuss questions of patterns of the Czech volunteering in comparision wit the new trends of volunteering in the western democracies. The authors put frame the volunteering development with the hepl of theory of modernization.
The state of particular dimensions of volunteering is tested on kvantitative empirical data.
