Abstract
Between 1966 and 1978 Czechoslovakia made attempts to assert some important proprietary claims against the Federal Republic of German that resulted from the time of World War II. The study examines the origin, the structure and the amount of these claims and concludes, in consideration of international framework conditions, why the Czechoslovak government has abandoned these claims silently in 1978
