Abstract
There is the summary of diagnostic methods used for colorectal carcinoma detection as an introduction of presented monography. The accent is put on PET examination.
Author presents the results of two research works resolved with supporting of IGA - grant agency of Ministry of Health of Czech Rep. The first - radioimmunoguided surgery during the surgical treatment of colorectal cancer, the second - sentinel node detection by lymphoscinigraphy during the radical rectal cancer resections.
The possibility of regional lymphatic nodes detection during the colorectal cancer operations is evaluated in these studies. The great importance of the study is also the results evaluation of total mesorectal excisions in the surgical treatment of rectal cancer.
