Abstract

Primary mutation in some somatic cell is the reason for development of majority of tumors. The malignant transformation of cell consist of three steps: initialisation, promotion and progression.

Mutation of some gene results in loss or information of mutation product, that cause deregulation of cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Von Hippel-Lindau disease is an prototypical malignancy which is caused by mutation of tumor-suppressor gene.
