Abstract
The current settings of scientific evaluation by various agencies is based on buck-passing replacing of the depht of thougut by quantifiable indicators in terms of ratings points and rankings. Scientific work is viewed in the logic of production, leading to a loss of authenticity.
Consequently, there is a risk that education does not prepare a truly responsible decision-making which is cornerstone of a democratic society.
