Abstract
Today stand 7 gates in Old city of Jerusalem. There are surround the town walls nearly 5 km long.
It is interesting compare this area with Jerusalem of the time Old and New Testament. The Old city was most extended in 1 CE, before conquest of the Romans.
Archaeological knowledge help us make better to understand this city with biblical history, help us also to understanding of essential events.
