Abstract
The submitted publication contains 6 parts on the whole and all of them explain meaning of the social work from different perspectives. First two parts are dealing with professional explication of the concepts and they outline existing methods, theories of the social work performing in our country and in the world.
Sequentially follows part 3 dealing with biblical substantiation of the social work and this part has been worked out by lecturer N. Bravená.
Further two parts, i.e. 4-5 point to social dimension of the practical theological disciplines including Christian social work and mission. The content of the last 6th part is dedicated to relation of the social work within the systematic theology and philosophy of personalism.
