Surface Free Energy Determination by Contact Angle Measurements - A Comparison of Various Approaches

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2010

Abstract

The most common way to determine the surface free energy of the material is to measure the surface tension by the sessile drop method. We made a review and a direct experimental comparison of the most widely methods of surface free energy determination using various testing liquids.

The algorithms developed during the work will be implemented into liquid contact angle analysis software.
