Abstract
The sphere of synesthesia of auditive and visual perception was experienced and descriped in physiology of 19th century. J.E.
Purkyně, influenced by Chladni, tried to create the system of accoustic morphology. These physiological endeavours inspired the artists of the beginning of 20th century who tried to represent the sound.
