Accounting for direct and up-stream energy requirments and carbon emissions related to the production system in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Study described in this paper treats the issue of direct and up-stream energy requirements and carbon emissions related to the production system in the Czech Republic. These energy requirements and carbon emissions were calculated for 1999 and 2003 using input-output technique.

Calculated energy requirements and carbon emissions were linked to domestic final demand of commodities, as well as to their exports and imports.
