Abstract
The aim of the presentation is to discuss the theory of planned behaviour and the presumptions and possibilities of its extension. First we describe the theory of planned behaviour and its basic components.
Further, we outline how the theory of planned behaviour can be used for a causal explanation of behaviour. Finally, we discuss the main critiques towards the theory of planned behaviour, but which have in many cases more general relevance in sociological research.
