Abstract

The workshop was organised by Charles University Environment Center in cooperation with Environmental Policy Research Center of Free University Berlin and Ecoconsulting. In the beginning Dr.

Bursik and Dr. Mez introduced the joint project as a part of which the seminar was organised.

German partners introduced ecological tax reform that was introduced in Germany starting from 1999 that according to models lead to slight decrease of unemployment and greenhouse gases emissions without noticeable effect on GDP. In the final presentation M.

Scasny and M. Bursik outlined the concept of ecological tax reform in the Czech Republic.
