Abstract
The article describes the concept of economy-wide material flow accounting with the focus on the output side of material balance and "disposal of wastes" item in particular. This item was first figured out with the use of data of Czech Ecological Institute and Water Research Institute of T.G.M respectively (R and D projects of MoE SG/310/2/00 and SM/320/2/03) and afterwards revised with the use of data of the Czech Statistical Office (R and D project of MoE 1C/7/14/04).
The article acquaints with the results of this revision and deliveres some recommendations for further monitoring of this item within the economy-wide material flow accounting.
