The objectives of the research project are: I) to identify the long-term effects of air pollution and the changes in its level on children?s health using model samples of children from districts Teplice and Prachatice. II) Assessment of relations between selected genotypes with an impact on metabolism of atmospheric pollutants and ability to repair genetic damages caused by these pollutants as well as children?s morbidity in both the model districts with gradually decreasing air pollution will be done.
III) COŽP conducts the analysis of relations between the quality of environment and the perception of health risks closely connected to them. IV) Assessment of the total costs related to the impacts on the children?s health as well as the comparison of the total costs with the EU values will be the second output of the COŽP survey.
