Abstract
Annual report summarizes outcomes of the project ?Economy of introduction of alternative fuels in transport sector? gained in 2005. It identifies and assesses barriers of introduction of alternative fuels on national, European and international level.
Five scenarios are modelled and preliminary environmental impacts are presented. Special attention is given to quantification of environmental costs using ExternE methodology developed in EU.
In addition, approaches to assessment of social and economic impacts of alternative fuels are analysed and a cost-effectiveness analysis of biofuels promotion in 1990-2003 is provided.
