Abstract
The topic of this paper is an analysis of the development of historical and anthropological dispute over the age of the first known Přemyslids. Both scientific disciplines came to different conclusions many times, which started a debate about credibility of the used methods.
The analysis of the dispute focuses on the argument of historian Dušan Třeštík and anthropologist Emanuel Vlček. The second part of this paper focuses on the latest outcomes of historical and anthropological researches and on the temporary conclusion of the dispute.
