Abstract

The book beside emergence and development of different kinds of pilgrimage literature (lists of holy places and travelogues) depicts also the history of Jewish pilgrimage to Jerusalem from 12th till 16th century and the holy sites in Egypt, Syria, Iraq and especially the Holy Land.
