„Vim vi pellere licet ...“? The development of the confessional conditions in the parishes of the feminine abbeys of Upper Lusatia during the 17th century

Abstract

The study of sources deals with the complicated formation of the confessional conditions and with the religious conflicts in the parishes of the feminine abbeys Marienthal and Marienstern in the Upper Lusatia in the context of the relations of the authorities of the regular and secular clergy as well as of the temporal power. Greater attention is dedicated to the personalities of some priests.
