"Cur Cistercio ademptum Ossecum?" The transfer of the abbey of Ossegg to the archbishopric of Prague

Abstract

The study deals with the transfer of the Cistercian abbey Ossegg and its properties to assure economically the existence of the archbishopric of Prague (1579-1580). It focuses on the mechanism and motives of the negotiation and its actors: the Land-officers, the King and the archbishop of Prague.
