Synthesis and initial in vitro evaluations of novel antioxidant aroylhydrazone iron chelators with increased stability against plasma hydrolysis

Abstract

Nine new analogs of the Fe chelator salicylaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone (SIH) were synthesized and tested for their stability against plasma hydrolysis and antioxidant activity.
