O’Halpin Eunan, Spying on Ireland: British Intelligence and Irish Neutrality During the Second World War, Oxford 2008!

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2011

Abstract

O’Halpin, in his publication Spying on Ireland, explores the approach of British secret services towards Ireland, cooperation between British and Irish inteligence agencies and, last but not least, British inteligence activities on the territory of Ireland itself. The author understands neutrality as a result of discontent of the political elite with the partition of the island.

The review critically approaches and analyzes O’Halpin’s assumptions and conclusions.
