This contribution deals with Althusser''s interpretation of Marx''s method. The author characterizes the distinctions between Hegel''s and Marx''s dialectical method, their different conceptions of the structure and divers concept of principals and secondary contradictions in the dialectical totality.
The contribution also analyzes Althusser''s conceptions of the "over-determination" and "symptomatic reading" and describes Althusser''s ontology in his late period (i.e. the "materialism of the encounter" or "aleatory materialism").
