Legends and Sanctuaries of Chodaq. Notes to the history of Tajik microregion in Ferghana Valley

Abstract

The article analyses the peculiarities of small region Chodaq with Tajik population in northern Ferghana Valley in Uzbekistan. The focus is given to the interpretations of local legends as source of identity with Islamic and pre-Islamic elements.
