Cultural framework of volunteering

Abstract

On the byckground of the modernization theory, the chapter analyzes cultural framework of volunteering in the Czech Republic primarily on the dimension: collectivism - individualism. It also analyses the problem of multiple membership of volunteers in NGOs, problems of barriers of volunteering and material and post-material value orientations of volunteers.
