Abstract
The book offers compact imagination of the main challenges for the Czech society and suggests possibilities and ways how to cope with them. The goal of the book is not to forecast future, but to contribute to their understanding.
For the knowledgeable and responsible approach to the future analysis are identified six main challenges: 1. continuity of future research, 2. sophisticated theoretical background, 3. ability to apply wide repertoire of prognostic methods, 5. knowledge of the main societal actors (elites and general public), 6. knowledge of global context.
