Abstrakt
A critical assessment of The Seafarer (2006) by Conor McPherson in the context of his previous work. It examines the ways in which the play may be seen to reflect the reality of Celtic Tiger Ireland, discusses the reception of the play’s early productions, and finally focuses on the implication of allusions included in the play, particularly that to the eponymous Anglo-Saxon poem.
