Synthesis and biological activity of desmethoxy analogues of coruscanone A

Abstract

A series of novel cyclopentenedione derivatives was prepared via Ti(iPrO)4-mediated Knoevenagel condensation with aromatic and unsaturated aldehydes. The compounds were evaluated for antifungal and cytostatic/cytotoxic activity.
