Is coagulation screening before adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy really necessary?

Abstract

The aim of our study is to identify the most frequent causes of prologation of aPTT and PT in preoperative testing and to suggest suitable history questionnaire for revealing haemostasis disorders. In our prospective setting of 106 patients was the prolongation of coagulation tests mostly caused non-specific inhibitor.
