Anthracyclines and their metabolism in human liver microsomes and the participation of the new microsomal carbonyl reductase

Abstract

Biotransformation of doxorubicin, daunorubicin, and idarubicin in human liver microsomal fraction and by novel human liver microsomal carbonyl reductase was done. Results obtained for the biotransformation of anthracyclines in human liver microsomal fraction indicate that there are two possible pathways for their metabolism.
