The Problem of Slovak Language and Status of Slovakia during the Preparations of the Constitution

Abstract

The chapter describes an unsuccessful attempt of the deputies of the Slovak Club to codify Czech and Slovak languages as official languages in the constitution instead of the fictional Czechoslovak language. Further it describes an unsuccessful attempt of the deputies of the Slovak People's Party to codify the autonomy of Slovakia.
