Abstract
The portal "Information science and librarianship" is a page of type of wikiportal in the Czech language version of encyclopedia Wikipedia. It serves as an information gateway to existing content as well as non-existing content of the Czech language version of Wikipedia, which is relevant to the fields of information science, library science, librarianship and other related fields and areas, including the contents of selected sister projects of Wikipedia.
The portal also serves as a service of selective dissemination of information. The main goal of the portal is to support detection, organization, analysis, measurement and evaluation of the field-relevant content of the Czech Wikipedia.
Another goal of the portal is to support popularization of the field of information science and related disciplines in the Czech Wikipedia and in the surface web in general.
