Metropolitan police: unsystemic part in thinking about Czech security system reform

Abstract

Media sphere of the Czech Republic recently hit the mention of the concept of so called "Metropolitan Police." This concept is also explicitely mentioned in the coalition agreement currently in force. What exactly is behind this term, what are mentioning the voices resound in support of this vision - and what arguments based its criticism? And is it true that it is a concept that has been successfully proved abroad?
