An arrangement condemned to decline? : Myths and realities about Versailles peace system collapse

Abstract

The study deals with the fall of the Versailles peace system between the two world wars. It shows that the system was not doomed to faile and can not be considered as one of the main causes of World War II.

The reason of its failure was primarily the German unwillingness to accept defeat.
