Abstract

The interpretation of the susceptibility of Gram-negative rods to β-lactams is currently under discussion in CLSI and EUCAST - two authorities on determination of clinical breakpoints.Interpreting criteria of susceptibility testing in bacteria producingβlactamase hydrolyzing 3rd and 4th generation cephalosporins are reviewed.
