Abstract
More and more frequently teachers face a difficult problem: How to work with students who are not native Czech speakers? Citizens of former Soviet Union constitute a large group of migrants in the Czech Republic and this is why I have decided to focus on their integration into Czech educational system. This paper provides statistic information on the number of foreigners in primary schools, on Czech language courses available in classes with Russian-speaking pupils and it describes samples of support schemes and education programmes for teachers, who deal with this issue in their daily work.
