2003

Abstract

The Hrdlicka Museum of Man bears the name of the distinguished anthropologist, Dr. A. Hrdlicka, known worldwide. It is on the premises of the biological section of the Faculty of Science of Charles University and is one of the university collections. The differentiation into two parts, museum and depository, made it possible to open the

Museum to the general public and for excursions with professional commentaries as well as for scientific research of rare specimens in the depository. The foundation and history of the museum is closely linked with the events and history of our State and society from the end of the twenties to the present time.
