Abstract
Photography and especially photojournalism is medium heavily dependent on technologies. Its creative possibilities always relayed on level of progress of photographic industry during 170 years of history of photography.
Last two decades brought large technological transformation of photojournalistic practice caused by onset of digital media and informational technologies. Transition from analog to digital era, called "digital revolution", meant so complex change, that is usually compared to invention of photography itself.
Important changes happened also within professional routines of photojournalists: faster process, possibility of immediate control of images, easy editing, postproduction, new ways of transfer of images. All these aspects also influenced the area of academic discourse and curricula.
