Abstract

The "Summarium biblicum" is a didactic tool elaborated to memorize the Bible in the last centuries of the Middle Ages. Each word of the Latin metrical poem stands for a biblical chapter.

The study of its complex textual tradition constitutes an exceptionnal type of approach to understand the diffusion and the paradoxes of biblical cultures at the end of the Middle Ages.
