The Work of Art as translation of The Book of Nature

Abstract

The paper aims to summarize the most significant issues of philosophy of language developed by Walter Benjamin during the period between 1916 and 1925. The main focus is on some key concepts of Benjamin''s theory of knowledge such as truth, immediacy and name.

Our interpretation is an attempt to picture the presented understanding of language as an exemplification of the unique perspective on reality in every being, which is especially apparent in works of art.
